The European Committee of Regions offers five-months traineeships

From the 1st of June to the 30th of September European citizens with a degree can apply for a traineeship at the European Committee of Regions.

The Committee of the Regions is formed by 353 members - regional and locally elected representatives from the 28 EU countries. Six commissions cover competences in policy areas as employment, vocational training, economic and social cohesion, social policy, health, education and culture, environment, climate change, energy, transport, civil protection and services of general interests.
 
Every year, the Committee of the Regions (CoR) offers a limited number of university graduates a five-month traineeship in two differend session. First period goes from 16 February to 15 July (spring session), while the second one runs from 16 September to 15 February of the following year (autumn session).
 
Each trainee is assigned to a specific department of the CoR. The nature of the work depends on the unit. Some units are more politically oriented, others are more administrative. In general, the type of work assigned is equivalent to that performed by junior executive-grade officials.
 
Applicants for the traineeships must be citizien of one of the EU mber States or of a State which is an official candidate for accession, have completed at least the first cycle of a higher education course, and have a good knowledge of one EU official languages and a satisfactory knowledge of another EU-working language (French or English).

For the spring session, applicant must submit their online application (only available in English, French or German) from 1 June till 30 September of previous year.
