Eindhoven receives talented youngsters from other countries
Europe industries in search of skilled young people. Companies increasingly must play an active role in training young people and helping them obtain the right skills needed on the labour market. Eindhoven is an example of the integration of young students in job programmes.
High-tech industry in Eindhoven is a relevant example in this regard, companies receiving lots of talented youngsters from other countries to do traineeships thanks to international projects run by their training centres. In this way, they make the best of the Leonardo da Vinci programme, a European Union scheme that supports traineeships abroad for youngsters in initial vocational training.
In a video from euronews, Spanish youngsters train in high-tech industries in Eindhoven. The European Union´s Leonardo da Vinci programme now funds 80.000 transnational placements a year to help prepare today´s youth for working life.
