Cambridge Econometrics (CE), in collaboration with Ricardo-AEA, is currently undertaking a research project to assess the economic impact of decarbonising light-duty vehicles (cars and vans). The study states that the transition to low-carbon vehicles increases investments in vehicle technology and would have a positive impact – of some 350,000 to 450,000 – on direct and indirect jobs.
